What are your favorite sewing patterns for beginners?

I also learned to sew on my own initially years ago and was pretty fearless. I didn't now to be scared. Things often didn't work but but it'd try again. It's just fabric! As for my favorite patterns for beginners, assuming they are interested in going into the world of knits, the Grainline Studio Hemlock Tee is great.

I’ll have to do a whole knits video! I’m pretty sure Hemlock is free too. Extra beginner bonus! Thanks for sharing. ❤️

Thank you so much for not bringing us to another tote bag pattern! I'm tote bagged out. I'm challenging myself to make a coat.

Anything from All Well Workshop, I love their Studio Pants! Easy to customize, too!

Seamwork Jenna for a really easy skirt, but I think I like the mave skirt better at this point for all the options it has. York pinafore by Helen's closet, I could live in these.

Thank you for your recommendations, Colleen! I will check out the Jenna Skirt.

I cannot believe I never thought about going the Indy pattern route. I didn't realize so many of them had so long and I'm also discovering that the patterns are made for normal sized women. Not perfect hourglass figures like butterick and McCall's seem to think I have.

I'm a great fan of the Ogden Cami as well. I think I may have made at least 5. I like to use repurposed vintage table cloths. PS. ALL I WANT TO DO IS GO TO CAMP!!!!!!!!

Vintage table clothes, such a good idea! I miss Camp too!
