Kind of confused on this game's story, unless Indie didnt find all the secrets. Who's exactly the Paper face animatronic? What's the point of it's inclusion? The phone guy, is it Michael or some other new character? Is Donovan stuck in some purgatory? Even though I really like their rework of the first game, the new elements that supposed to make it as it's own universe is where I'm confused. It's not really lore. It just seems like it's there just because.

paper plate could be a replacement for the puppet since the toys got destroyed after 87, and i think its possible the lore of the game is going for its own story like in the movie since theres a lot of similarities im not even an hour in for now, but i overall dont think there is any purgatory elements, its most likely new characters in that universe too

I'm assuming that the paper plate guy is Michael's brother. You can see Michael give the paper plate character a hug in Trespassing 2. skip to 1:30 in kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYOrZaaLa5pnias&ab_channel=RealTimeStudio You can tell that its Michael since they have the same outfit as the Michael sprite. I see no reason why he'd give them a hug unless that was his brother. (AKA the bite victim) Also i have no idea why Donovan would keep going back to his job especially after Foxy in night 3 or him being followed home in Night 4 It's also unclear what the duck mini game is. There's a drawing in the safe room camera showing a girl and a security guard with the duck from the mini game on it, but the context of the drawing or the mini-game is unclear other than I guess the girl dies? Maybe its related to the duck suit behind the building or the duck springlock suit in the intro.

@ i think he’s hugging the paper animatronic as a form of thank you, very high possibility this is its universe golden freddy, but the first cutscene in the game wouldn’t make sense if this paper animatronic wasnt a puppet also have 0 clue abt donovan, really weird almost like he wanted to get killed and it just makes 0 sense why he goes back over and over and why he tried to leave at midnight the duck game could be a minigame showing how Afton caught some one of his victims? idk tho it also makes no sense
