It's the French musette waltz. I picture this as an unfortunate incident of "indifference" in the early stages of life of a newly-wed couple. They are in 'incommunicado'. What a pity!
The groom tries to placate the bride by buying her a fresh bouquet of flowers; failing which a couple of sarees; after that, an exquisite pair of bangles. She's still stubborn! perhaps, the young hearts are too immature or inexperienced. They are baffled what to do or how to manage the difficult situation. In great anguish, he began to hum a tune constantly expressing his pain in a musette style. Eventually, she felt that her groom have proved his unwavering love and affection for her. She responded with an 'antiphony' tune of her own, a modified version of the same 'key phrase' of his song in a Waltz rhythm. Soon, it developed into a melodious duet. With those two beautiful tunes, they found a suitable remedy for their troubles!
