It is nature. They do not, and still do not have, certain advantages that European culture has. They did not have military, economic and scientific capabilities like the Europeans. That is not the fault of European people, that is the fault of the natural forces of evolution. They are bitter about their lot in life. They resent that they were born so obviously disadvantaged. Other people with disadvantages can feel the same, like people from bad traumatic families, or gay people etc.

The Dutch arrived before Cook on the west coast of Australia but left because they didn't find any precious metals like gold or silver. Cook discovered the east coast of Australia which then led the way for another explorer Matthew Flinders to then circumnavigate the entire continent.

@pwillis1589 3 сағат бұрын
So human cannibalism was and has been practiced on every continent and by just about all cultures. In the famines in Europe of the 1930s it was common. Human sacrifice is again common to many cultures. What exactly is your point? Other than your ignorance and vacuousness.

@pwillis1589
@pwillis1589 3 сағат бұрын
@@JohnnyRingo-c5v I know of no attempt or document that denies the use of cannibalism amongst indigenous Australians. My understanding was it was mainly used on babies and small children as a means of population control. You would have to reference the data you refer to for me to evaluate it. Are you suggesting civilised cultures are not brutal. I might point out the thousands of Palestinian children dismembered by Israeli bombs or the thousands of German children burned to death in the firebombing of Dresden by allied Air forces. I could go on, how about the strapping of nail bombs to intellectually disabled girls and sending them into crowded markets by the Taliban. Yes cultures can be brutal, good point, as to what that proves escapes me.
@pwillis1589
@pwillis1589 3 сағат бұрын
@@JohnnyRingo-c5v oh I forgot to mention one other civilised act of modern western society. The Germans in WWII managed to slaughter more children in 5 years than the entire indigenous people of Australia could manage in 65000 years. Yeah indigenous culture was brutal, I’ll take their brutality any day than Poland in 1942.

They didn’t settle in Australia 🇦🇺 Warren is correct other people came and left. The British and the French were contending to settle Australia. Matthew Flinders named Australia. The people who came here did exactly what God instructed. Read Genesis 1:28. Develop the land, plant and grow crops, tend animals. That is what is supposed to happen. Develop a nation, make it prosperous for everyone who lives here. Export and trade with other nations/countries for their benefit. Australia is blessed. 🇦🇺

Is there ANY country on the planet that hasn't been conquered or colonized (call it what you will) by some other nation, race, etc. Not just once, but literally hundreds of times in some cases. The WHOLE planet has been shaped this way. When I went to school we we taught that subsequent waves of aboriginal people dispossess tribes already here, and forced them to migrate South. Not sure if this is fact, but who in their right mind would have chosen to just pass through the vastly more pleasant and futile parts of Australia to go live in freezing wet Tasmania.

Stan is blaming white people for evolutionary development. If the indigenous were less skilled in war, commerce and science, that is the fault of the Creator, not the white settlers. England is cold and a difficult land. Many people wanted to leave, for a new land, and that is also the fault of the Creator.

From what I recall of Cook's account, they discarded all the gifts of cloth and other items as they had no need for them and would not trade any of their items as they where tools needed to survive, so I call BS on the idea musims did any trading they had nothing to trade, and would more lily been taken as slaves if Muslim ships had encountered them, We know other cultures found our land and left cluse for this, but this is just BS.

This is like how the Vikings were the First to make contact with mainland Native American tribes. They arrived in 1000ad. The Iroquois first began using Long House technology in 1000ad. There is also the Iroquois story that has been passed down for over a thousand years of the Kingdom of Saguenay. Where the people were described to wear clothing that was the same as Europeans (not Deer skin or Pelts). Actual Cloth. Cloth was Rare if any North of the Rio Grand River. South of which in Mexico and into South America, textiles were much more common.

It wasn't "a lie". The claim that then Lieutenant Cook "discovered" Australia historically only has to do with the British used 'doctrine of discovery' (the claim to be a territory’s first 'European' discoverer), which is what was originally used only to claim then New South Wales for the British Crown many years after the Dutch "discovered" the Western portion of the county but failed to follow up on it with the doctrine of possession to make a colony, etc, it doesn't mean that Cook was literally the first person to discover it, or that other non Europeans ("Moslims" in this case) may have "discovered" it before the British as in the commonly used meaning of the word. The 'doctrine of discovery' here was different from just being the first human (or any other animal if you like) to 'discover' something, it was about being the first Christian European to discover something in which they could then claim possession of in the name of their Christian sovereign. The Dutch didn't do this with the portion that they mapped within their Western, Northern and Southern boundaries at any point, but Cook did this with the Eastern which the Dutch or anyone else had not mapped before that time. Cook himself had onboard the HMS Endeavour a copy of the then Dutch discovered 'New Holland' (Australia), he never actually found the undiscovered southern land, then Terra Australis, which he was originally sent to find.
