See for yourself below: Coffee board was setup in india in 1907 much before india tea board which was setup in 1950 India is 6th largest producer of coffee in the world, however 70% of coffee production is in karnataka followed by kerala 20% and TN 5% and the rest 5% is produced in AP and north eastern states However 80% of coffee produced in india is exported with 21% sent to Italy itself. On the other hand India is 2nd largest producer of tea and 1st in consumption (gross not per capita) and 4th in export. So this shows that tea is more consumed in india than coffee. As I earlier posted 60% of ppl still prefer drinking coffee in TN and 50% in Karnataka the 2 most populous states of south india. Therefore naturally coffee drinkers in south india number goes up because population in kerala is less although 95% of them consume tea. Also as I said Tea was introduced to india by britishers and it came from china. The word chai is also not ours. In china earlier tea was called as cha and britishers took the same and introduced to us. Britishers gave away huge lands in assam for cultivating tea for export purpose to break the monopoly of tea exports by china. However, tea consumption in india widespread and increased only after independence. How coffee came to india I have already mentioned in one of comment above. Also cafe coffee day was founded by a karnataka resident in chikkamagalur by name siddhartha and it was the first of its kind in India.

No, it was just a sample given to him as a nice gesture! Everyone does not drink in the same cup. they will have use and throw cups to serve. A little bit of mint and chili and salt will be mixed with buttermilk before he servers them!

The last rating given by him I was also genuine....Why ... Cos I've been to this place.... Called Chokhi Dhani.... (means a Good Village....) You'll get the best of the best.... Bati here.... Cooked traditionally on Cowdung cakes !!!! Yes.... That's true.... It gives the bati.... A smoky aroma... And the Bati gets evenly cooked.... I've eaten this heavenly food.... And I bet you will feel as if boozed off.... You'll feel too sleepy.... A blissful sleep.... Churma.... The dessert.... Is also made on the same cakes.... Similar to bati, but crushed down to grains.... Ghee added with sugar, cardamom and nuts.... 😋 Being a Rajasthani.... I love cooking both on the same cowdung cakes.... Or Kande... Or Chaane.... Or Uple Buttermilk is the same what is popular in Iran as Doug.... Or Doogh Curd chuned out..... Butter separated.... And then.... Raw cumin, mint paste and Himalayan salt added.... 😋 A perfect and tasty option to balance the.... Super Spicy.... Rajasthani food.... 😱 Eating dessert in end.... Also balances the digestive fuild.... And controls the effect of spices.... ☺

Hey Indi I love how interested you are in India..Btw there was slight misunderstanding at starting of video regarding buttermilk...actually nobody drinks directly from that serving spoon..remember at chai stall how that seller let them examine how that cardemom smells..same thing was with buttermilk, that person let them taste it..nd he didn't take money for it..nd no on 30 cents for sip, it was actually price for whole cup/glass... I hope this helps understanding it better... 😊
