Article 368 of the Indian Constitution gives Parliament the power to amend the Constitution: Procedure: A bill to amend the Constitution can be introduced in either house of Parliament by a minister or a private member. The bill must pass in each house with a special majority, which is a majority of the total membership of the house and a majority of two-thirds of the members present and voting. President's assent: The approved bill must be presented to the President for assent. Ratification: The amendment must also be ratified by the legislatures of at least half of the states. Courts: The amendment cannot be challenged in any court. The short title, enacting formula, and long title are adopted by a simple majority. 🙂
