You know what I think? There are pro players who can do a really good kick bank and safety shot. Filler Shaw Boening, they are all great player. But what makes Efren different? That humble little smile. That's what most current pros are lacking

It seems to me that Mano Efren got a brain that works like a radar and a scanner. He can strategize and simulate his shot on his head and the better part is his body can deliver those shots which for most people including me think as impossible shots. I know a little about this guy but I can tell that it was not an easy path on his way to stardom. The struggle is real. Success comes to those who persevere. Undoubtedly, he is the GOAT, an icon and an inspiration for all aspiring billiard players.

I believe that Efren is the greatest pool player in the history of the game. Having said that, I also believe Efren is telling the truth when he says he got lucky, after winning a tournament. Why? Because Efren knows that pool, by its own nature, has a lot of luck involved in it. He has experienced many times when the rolls simply weren't going his way, and he won very few world class tournaments when the rolls were not going his way. But, he also knows that if one wins a tournament against the best players in the world, he had to get some rolls. That doesn't mean he had better rolls than who he beat...it just means that Efren is humble enough to admit that luck is virtually always a part of winning a world class tournament. Efren is just simply one of the ones who is truthful, and humble enough...to admit it!

Truly Efren is a master of the Corome Billiards, I just realize there's a tagalog word " Karambola " which is exactly derive from Corome Balls which works in the same principle of the game. I remember hanging out in "Lucky 13 " Billiard Hall where Efren worked as a rack boy in his early days , Corome is such a popular pool game there . Lucky 13 is where all the hustlers play in Manila. If you will watch Efren games , truly there's a lot of shots that is like Corome billiards. Earl Strickland once said that he learned a lot from Efren especially in Safety and kick shots even admitted that Efren is the Best. Every pool commentator would mention a name who they saw as the greatest ever who played the game , it's only one name - Efren Reyes.........

I am so happy to have seen the great Efren in my lifetime, it looked liked he was retiring a while ago, but he;s definitely not gone! Can't wait to see some more inspirational billiards magic from the greatest pool magician ever! One thing that needs to be said is - please don't insult Efren by saying he has a god given talent. No god bullshit, he just worked extremely hard and had an immense passion for this beautiful game, that's what got him to this level, no divine intervention, although it may seem like it!

But I can say is that he didn’t lie, he is just humbling himself.because he knows being humble will bring him more blessings and battles to conquer.being boastful or cocky will ruin his skills even in other players or athletes crumble themselves by this.
