because 1) cheap cars means there'll be way too many cars on way too few roads and it's counter to the more environmental friendly option of public transport, 2) these cars are "more" environmental friendly, but not environmental friendly on a whole

hi im an indonesian and that car is still expensive the minimum wage here is about 200-250$ in 2020 but those "cheap" cars minimum price is 7000$ and the cheapest one doesnt include an ac i think rather than making "cheap" cars they should increase the economy and minimum wage to make cars more affordable and by the way why people have cars is because they use bank installments and a lot of people who got trapped of those installments are now in debt and they are broke
