Indonesia’s Revolutionised Gen Z Activists

In late 2019, thousands of Indonesian youths took part in the largest student protests seen in Jakarta for decades. The students used social media to organise the mass gatherings and crowd-funding websites to collect cash to pay for loudspeakers and food. They have also connected with student demonstrators in Hong Kong. Anthropologist Yatun Sastramidjaja talks to #InConversation about the role of digital media in student activism.

ah... the 154th internationally rank media has their interviewer asking every question phrased in the way that these revolutions are "not something that's more serious" and that the social media savvy youths "also makes them vulnerable, doesn't it, to manipulation" well deserved of it's 154th ranking.

Instagram is for hobbies or life experiences/pictures Twitter is for opinions Reddit is for the most popular opinion due to the upvote system. KZbin is for entertainment. All can be used for memes or comedy. Tik tok and instagram are very similar. The ok boomer phrase is just dumb fun like some memes. It pokes fun at the wrong the older generation believes in like the "man up" phrase and the "technology bad" mentality most of them have or the "when i was your age I was..." phrase
