It’s wrong though that Indonesia was under Dutch for 350 years. Indonesia became a Dutch colony in 1900s, before that Indonesia was under VOC, an east india Dutch company.

Oh I love the food here.. it's.. the only positive thing about colonialism (just kidding). But we do have a lot of Indo places here because of that dark chapter in history. Also my ex was Indonesian and Indonesians are such nice people! I love how multicultural Amsterdam is, it's amazing to be able to find random food on almost every street, lol. PS: I have 18 supermarkets within 15 minutes of walking. It's just like.. there's everything you need AND MORE. Great city, Amsterdam:)

the one fled to netherland mostly mix blood or dutch who's born in indonesia. but actually they don't want to go, but yeah politic and things not good back then. and now many indonesian living there and many dutch travel in here, it's kinda funny.

In the Netherlands there is also a large Moluccan and Javanese-Surinamese community. They are not Indonesian.
