I see that they have the same superstitions that we have towards banyan trees in the Philippines, where bad spirits make banyan trees their home, that's why if it's already big we leave them alone but certainly not plant them. It's not a toxic reason because the cause isn't hatred, it's superstition. If you live in a society with superstitions, you will understand.

Since Beringin has it’s own meaning they think he is insane for planting a sacred tree. There are many Believes about trees and tbh mostly it’s abt bad luck. All i want to say is that he’s not insane, but according to those who believe that the Beringin is sacred and have ancestors soul lurking into it, thinks that he’s insane. A fully grown banyan tree is considered as sacred by several ethnicities in Indonesia and it is considered as the dwelling of forest spirits. Well Greta Thunberg didn't do it to GET the Nobel prize, she just grew frustrated with the inaction of the world's governments and adults. This man likely felt the same frustration but he acted upon things differently. They both acted in ways they hoped would make a difference. Neither are better than the other, but both are heroes.

There's no need for that. He made a tourist site up in the flat hills where he plants flowers etc so that the young people don't need to go far away and spend money for a beautiful vacation he said. he made hundreds of stairs leading to that flat hills alone and named the place Garden of Sadiman. There's a carving on the stairs gate: "Hundreds of stairs only need Sadiman alone." As if he is saying: imagine if I'm not doing it alone.
