‘“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.’ Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

The issue resides in the second step because of any text taken out of its context is a pre-text. As you mentioned, the necessity to pray first for the Holy Spirit guidance is very important .

YESHUA REIGNS FOREVER 🙏 Amen GOD bless you Always beloved Sister. Your explanation is absolutely clear, simple and easy to understand the importance of the concept. Yes, certainly - A detail study on the scriptures with observation, interpretation and application helps us to learn well. Concluding corrections are added specifications to absorb more details into a heart of the learner. Thank you so much, Sister.

Good explanation of the method. Something i notice that so many persons who are traching this method use mostly the New Testament passages rather than using the Old testament as well. Please let us have balance in studying GOD'S Word.

I believe we should read God’s word to know Him and not to see how it applies to our life. How can we love HIM if we don’t know who He is? How can we understand anything if we do not fully comprehend THE cross and Calvary?
@John316Ministries3 жыл бұрын
moshe dc, here is what Jesus says: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 NIV

@@John316Ministries there is no disagreement on that. How can any of us put His words into practice by our own volition? I heard Paul Washer say this and it’s been true in my life even after years of trying on my own to love God, which I could not do. First we must know His word and study, then this will generate faith (believe in what God says). This in turn will produce joy, which then will make us obey what He says in his word. Would any of us obey and follow and stranger? So how can we say that we can obey and love someone we do not know? I have found that the more I study about God and spend time in prayer, my love for Him grows. Obedience then does not become a burden but a deep yearning to please Him.

@@mosesvibe thank you for your comments. I’ve been a born again Christian for over 30 years, trying to read, study and live the Spirit filled life. Recently I received a Life Application Study Bible (NLT). It is SO helpful in strengthening and deepening my understanding of God and his will for my life. So I think study for knowing, loving and obeying God go hand-in-hand. Blessings to everyone here!💖🙏🕊🦅♥️

@@mosesvibe For one who Believes but wants to know God more by reading his word, what is the best study route I should go for? I’ve started reading so many times and tried numerous plans only to get bored and put The Book back on the shelf. Yes I pray and love God, but I also want to read and understand his word but I keep failing. Any guidance is appreciated.

@@MD-sv2fy brother i sometimes struggle to read the Bible and to pray but something that really illuminated me was to know that every godly man who are known to spend a lot of time praying and reading the Word, also struggle, but they keep pressing on. So whenever you get bored keep reading and when you do not feel like praying, keep praying. I heard recently this and I am passing it on, read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, over and over; each book of the Bible is God revealing himself. I highly recommend this study book "Knowing the Living God: The Doctrine of God (Biblical Foundations for the Christian Faith)" by Paul Washer. He has several other study guides on Amazon that I also recommend. But most important make sure you are plugged in a local church that teaches full Gospel and sound doctrine based on scripture alone.

I've always thought of inductive is approaching scripture with an idea then pulling the scriptures out that support that idea. Like David was a homosexual and then the verse where it speaks of him loving Jonathan more than women. Where deductive study would be better deductive study is like a bee going from flower to flower collecting pollen and then you draw a conclusion based on what scripture says as a whole. I think inductive study can be dangerous
