Cześć, używałem lakierobejcy w kolorze rustykalny dąb, potem przecierki za pomocą cykliny, bejca jakimś ciemnym kolorze i znowu lakierobejca. Konkretnych marek i odcieni niestety nie podam, bo nie pamiętam 😀

Так то реально крутая идея, но не безопасная, провода если начнут греться будет пожар, так как дерево отлично горит. Если делать то делать качественно либо брать подложку асбестовую но тоже не выход, либо использовать не горючий провод.

Those are very low power light bulbs, heavy gauge wire with plenty of isolation and the sockets are ceramic, I took every precaution to make it safe 😀

Yes they do exist, but only my mill could handle the torque required for those, and the current workshop setup doesn't really allow to put such large piece of wood on the mill. The drill press and battery drill won't have the power so I used alternative way 😉

It was a bit of an experiment - first I used a stain with lacquer, then I scraped to reveal some of the wood and then used darker stain to just stain the scraped wood. It gives it a bit more "depth" if that makes sense 😀

The answer is simple - I don't have a planer. The beam had just a tiny bit of cup that was quickly taken down with a hand plane. The beam was painted with couple coats of different stains to achieve a deeper, more interesting look - it may be unnecessary for you, but for me it was a bit of experiment and I think it came out great - same as the person that got the lamps. The groove was cut to achieve a cleaner look, that's just how I do stuff. Hope it answers your questions, thank you for commenting and watching!
