uncle marshall doing a great job counseling and consoling pato

Rooting hard for him. He deserved the win. Heck, that multiple catch while drifting twice in one save deserved the win. With that talent, he will get at least one. Sucks for him though to be so close again and again.

Sending prayers to you and your wife. Gutted for Pato. I hope he will get his win soon at Indy, time for him to concentrate on the championship and hopefully take the fight to Palou.

The entire production needs an overhaul. One time, early, the showed us pit stop windows by car. Poof, never again. Minimal overhead views which aside from the rail top shops maximize the sense of speed. During a restart, do not ever again turn the entire onscreen timing board red (on the way to displaying the Firestone logo). That’s off the top of my head. The talking heads? Bye bye Diffey and “T-bell” and “ninja hands” and “whooooa” ( the latter is like being trapped with drunks in the stand). Kevin Lee and Hinch with a couple of rovers. I don’t really mind Mike and Danica except it’s time away from the track. Speaking of the track, Less damned filler when cars are on the track. Quals, race, whenever, no life stories when tires are turning, that goes to the producers. That’s not all. Luckily they didn’t completely screw up coverage of a fantastic 20 laps at the end. Fantastic Indy 500.

That was probably the best indy 500 i've watched & im 47 and have been watching them since the 80's. What does it for me was all the best cars were still in contention at the end and there was no late caution or red flag needed to make it into a spectacle. It was organic and legit. And Newgarden was nowhere near clear when he turned into T3, and he had the balls to stick in there.

Thanks MP, electric puts it mildly. Just an amazing day. The rain never ever dampened the crowd. Not a JNew fan, but man he earned it. Respect

I'll repeat what I said on another channel earlier, this was my WORST Indy 500! There were two drivers I was rooting for and the entered the last lap one and two. I was REALLY pumped for Josef to get win number two and I was heartbroken for Pato to have to be second. The shot of him sitting in his car after the finish brought tears to my eyes, you could feel his pain! Josef now has his two in a row (and an extra 440K in his pocket), next year is Pato's!

I see Greg every year at Portland. When Josef found him in the crowd after the race I shouted THAT’S GREG! 😂

Ilot backed off then floored it, stamping Fittipaldi when he was lifting, that was the sensible thing to do Ilot saw the accident ahead and thought it would be a good ideia to go for a gap that clearly was closing 🤦 2 corners from 800 and Pietro was taken out

Was there, what a finish! Was hoping it’d be Dixon, and if not Pato. Find it strange that Newgarden and Penske think this win is an answer to all the criticism they got for push to pass. As if winning absolves them? Can’t stand that Newgarden superfan.
