huge crash, the safer barrier saved his life for sure, with that head on angle. The advancement of safety they have implemented over the last 20yrs have save many lives.

reminiscent of Gordon Smiley in 82 thank God for the safer barriers I was amazed when he moved in the car

Reminds me of the Gordon Smiley crash, which was fatal. Thank goodness the leg areas and the car body in general are better protected now than in 1982. Gordon's crash was in turn 3, instead of turn 2.

Kind of reminds me of the Smiley accident back in '82. Of course Gordon was killed in that wreck. The advancements in safety measures are incredible!

ray b - He ain't the only one who crashed there. Lot of guys crashed there in the practice sessions.
