But people don’t understand is that the brand value and goodwill with the core supporters will decrease. Raising ticket prices is one thing but increasing kids and disabled tickets prices by a 1000% while cutting staff budgets will cause the core supporters to leave especially considering the fact that they just spent millions on that ashworth guy and players are on ludicrous wages. If ineos start winning then it may be justified since fans will always support winners but if they do this and can’t manage to get to top form again united wont be able to just use its name to attract fans or players and will stagnate. There are many examples of this in business if you want to look at it like an actual business where the fore customers are priced out or not listened to for quick profits ultimately leading to the decline of a brand.
