Inertia bases are used to support mechanical equipment and reduce equipment vibration. Typical uses include open-type centrifugal chillers, reciprocating air and refrigeration compressors, chillers, and heat pumps, close-coupled and base-mounted pumps, centrifugal fans, internal combustion engines.

Hi Sir. Thanks for the useful video. I am working on one of the Pump skid. Client has 2 option . one with inertia base and another one is hybrid base. I have a doubt on the support condition. If structural skid is kept on the inertia base. The support points will be the anchor bolt points??

If am not wrong why you want go structural skid above the inertia base. Simple my suggestion is use inertia base for chilled water pump with help of isolator, inertia base supported through isolator, Just need a foundation below inertia base to get supported.

Very nice. Would you please tell me of which brand interia base is? And What are their selection criteria. How to coordinate dimensions of pump with interia base? What things I should need to tell supplier to order it. Thanks
