Half Pint was quite articulate in this interview. However, some of the main component and pioneers of our music were studio bands like The Skatalites, The Sound Dimensions, The Soul Vendors, Byron Lee & The Dragonaires (show band) to name a few. Laurel Aiken, Joe Higgs, Delroy Wilson, Jackie Opel, Lord Creators, Slim Smith, Dennis Brown, The techniques The Melodians, Justine Hines & The Dominoes, Toots & The Maytals, Desmond Dekkar & The Aces. Count Machukie, King Stitt, U Roy, I Roy, and Big Youth are some of the singers and toasters who help to shape and carved what the music has become today.
