Classic oxymoron. Rastafari has adopted the ideology of other sky deity religions. i.e. Based on fantasy and mythology rather than its freedom fighting, Afrocentric roots. Also, we black people in the Caribbean are from West Africa - we really have no ancestral ties to Ethiopia. Our roots are Nigerian, Ghanaian, Togo, Benin etc.

I was with him on the historical, but he lost me on the theological. All unfalsiable. There’s no way to even prove what’s in an unseen world, so why even make that claim. And why side step his Afrikan spirituality, if the man was a obeah man say that with confidence. According to the Bible David had his seer, Toussaint and Dessiline accomplish something that has never been accomplish before, with a powerful little African spiritualist, that gets no credit. Not all tribes took part in african spirituality . Some if us tribes have always been in biblical faith , Abrahamic faith before colonialism. We wrote the scriptures but they were interpreted by the white man for his own agendas in to religion.
