My Jamaican friends have yet to understand this🤦🏽♂️. How can i understand if I wasn’t exposed to Jamaican patois since a youth in 🇺🇸?
@rtee40863 жыл бұрын
@@shedparker I was born and grew up in Jamaica, And I understand patwa/patois, but I would be lying if I was able to interpret What Sizzla was on about, he might as well be Speaking in Tongues, Just like when Some Jamaican Christians utter words or speech-like sounds, Claiming that they're Speaking to God, Not Men or Women, I've been exposed to Jamaican patois all my life, and I still don't know what he's saying, Maybe he's speaking in tongues. I can only speculate.
@shedparker3 жыл бұрын
@@rtee4086 😂🤣 that’s crazy. One of my 🇯🇲 friends said out of all the ppl she talks with I’m the only one that doesn’t understand her. I was like that’s not true. Even on some of Vybz Kartel old interviews he speaks clear English. A gate in 🇺🇸 is a gate, but for you guys is in front of the house, and pitney-dem are children. I’ve even saw a KZbin comment say I don’t understand why Americans can’t understand 🇯🇲 patois, we’re speaking perfect English, i almost died 🤦🏽♂️.
