That was a nice video. As you state, this little one is not nearly as full sounding as the larger drum but it would be a great alternative for someone on a tight budget.

How does it sound when you play it like a regular hand drum? Although I enjoyed your video, I wish you would have tapped on it a bit. I appreciated hearing the oceanic bliss of the little balls making their way to the frame! Ha. Thank you for this video. I know more now than I did before. @@MusicalMollyKhan How about making one out of a Barrel Hoop - and using a Tom Tom head or a Bass Drum Head . Mount the large Drum on a Gimbal and attach to a pedestal base ? Bet that would be awesome.

@Musical Molly Khan - Hello :) I really like this thing. It reminds me more so of a White Water Rapids style flowing River. The other thing I thought of was a Dam Opening and releasing flow of water. How the sound slowed down when You stopped reminded me of the sound of the Dam closing up again and the water flow then stops. It's a cool little instrument for 20 and change. Very good for meditation.

Ocean sound?? im a islander from Atlantic Ocean, there is zero resemblance, ocean sound is so diversified, at night with rumble of crashing into rocks one goes to sleep like a baby, one of major factors for not living in land lock city is missing the sound and smell of Ocean 24/7, truly omniscient in one psyche.

Thank you for your experience! I have never lived by the ocean so unfortunately mine is limited. I'm sure if there was an instrument designed to imitate the sounds of the prairie I would find it inadequate too :D
