At the one year follow up video, here are some questions... Effects of water, oil and antifreeze spills and how it is to live with and/or clean up? How much further does a 10 mm socket fly away?! :D If you were to do it again, would you make it all the same color? why or why not? Thanks for the video!

Have you noticed any buckling of the tile in heat or sun?
@CashedOutCars5 күн бұрын
I haven't, though it doesn't get super hot where I am because I am in new england

Looks pretty good. Do you think the tiles will hold up against heavy use of floor jacks, etc well?

I also wanted to ask about hydraulic jack, which has small metal wheels, that means high pressure to small surface...

After my first use with them it did hold up well, but I will continue to do more testing and eventually make a video on it here on the channel!

Hey Cashed, had a question from a vid you made like 3 years ago but I figure you’ll still be able to answer it: what were your impressions on the eBay aluminum radiator you put in your red NA Miata? Need to replace my radiator and wanted to know if that’s a good option. Thanks in advance

Hey there! I still have it in my turbo NA and it’s still performing great. I would still recommend it for an inexpensive upgrade and replacement!

Hey so accidentally left my reservoir open. And I can hear gurgling on the inside and i've tried burping it many times but I know that you're supposed to park it on an incline , but it's in my backyard so I might just have to jack it up but all my coolant cane up

They really should sell a mini ramp 3 or 4 inch finishing piece. Even if it had to be more solid with the A or B clips, it would make for a MUCH cleaner instal.

how does a mechanics creeper and floor jack roll on this ?

While there is some resistance, I use mine without an issue. The diamond plate pattern isn't too extreme

I've been interested in these, but not sure I would trust jack stands directly on the plastic.

I will follow up with a video, but I did put Jack stands and a jack directly on them without an issue. That said, I certainly see where your thought process comes from with that and may put boards under them in the future

For anybody that comes across this video later, he started the tiles wrong and that's why he had to cut the tabs off. He should have taken those apart and started with the flat sides in the corner against the walls. The way he did it, you'll have to lift the previous tile and slide the next one under it over and over, which takes more time.

If you watch the full video they weren’t installed like that for the full floor, but we left that there because if you ended up running tiles to the floor, or cutting for the drain like we did, you need to know that technique

I just don’t understand why people use plastic tiles, in 10 years they won’t hold up. I’m an electrician by trade , I just had floor guys that I’m always working around to just put commercial grade epoxy down in my 50 by 80 garage. I only had $1600 in materials and I still get to use my floor drains. Been almost 13 years and floor looks same as day it was put down. It cannot warp or break, can do different designs. For money it’s still half price of these plastic tiles, there’s no real function besides instagram pics. Not trying to be negative but just being honest.

I wanted to do epoxy originally, but this slab was in super rough shape so it was easier for me to lay tiles in a few hours than smooth and fix the floor so it could have been epoxied. So far these are holding up well. I certainly see pros and cons of both

@@CashedOutCars at work I see the professional floor guys using some sort of self leveling to patch older concrete then they’ll apply the epoxy. I’m just a sparky not a floor guy but there is a huge difference between the commercial floor guys compared to residential floor guys. I got lucky I traded out work with my buddies. I was just curious on longevity of these tiles because finished products does look good, makes everything look clean
