I don't comment on much, but you have given people the understanding what is wrong with your son. I am a retired nurse and never heared of this syndrome. Watching your son go through all the things he has gives me the understanding on what you go through. Some people just don't understand all the medical issues your family goes through in a day. Keep up the great work you are doing for your son. He is getting better and better each day. God made your son to help understand his syndrome. Keep your chin up. Don't listen to what other people are saying. Love his huge smile , it makes things better.

NICU nurses would be familiar with Sebastian’s syndrome. It’s even more prevalent in certain parts of the country. As a retired NICU nurse I am familiar with the syndrome. I’m sure there are disciplines I know little about since I didn’t work in certain areas. An example would be my limited knowledge of surgery or diabetes.

They do make a seats,walkers and standers in Sebastian's size that would be beneficial in improving his core strength. Sebastian sitting and laying around doesn't increase his mobility to explore the world of toys to improve his fine motor skills. There are also foam blocks that come in a variety of sizes to put in his highchair to teach him to sit ups straight. Gradually you take foam blocks away. So he must work hard to keep core muscles strong. There are also foam blocks to keep his head from falling backwards. More core strength and toy play will give him the opportunity to slowly learn to feed himself in time too.

Stephanie we have been watching your videos for at least 2 years. We have never commented because we usually watch it on TV screen. We did get concerned this time not hearing because we knew of his infection, but we understand how life gets busy. We are retired but we remember how it was to do life, raising kids and working... We love watching and seeing Sebastian's beautiful smile! We can see his love for you both and vuce versa. We don't always understand the why's of life but we know the creator is with you and has given you strength and wisdom for this situation. My daughter has a unknow Gentics disorder. Misspelling of the DNA that geneticist have never seen before I like watching your show and learning about your son and his disorder it helps give a little insight into my daughter as she has a lot of medical problems, too is on and on a g tube and it can be tough sometimes . Watching your channel helps. Give me strength to know that there are a lot of other people out there dealing with the same kind of things I am . Just to see what a happy positive person you are and what a great mom you are makes me want to strive even more to be the best person I can be for my daughter. There is something called a pony walker that would be for his size. I'm a mom to 2 differently abled children. My daughter used a pony walker which was such a help. So nice seeing him eat so well. As my other child was failure to thrive for a long time. Now he's a teenager and eats and eats. Hope you can look into a pony walker or something similar. Happy Thanksgiving. Hugs ❤❤

I've seen him in his stander before but never the walker thing. I don't think I actually realized how tiny he is because he looks really tall in his stander. Suggestion... If he can stretch his legs forward out in front resting on the bar underneath the tray it might feel better and he would get a stretch. Also, if he sleeps on his back it's good that he sleeps on his tummy for naps because it will give him a little bit of a stretch. If he ends up spending most of the time in the same position he will just stay stiff in that one position and eventually stretching won't really help.

I wonder if you feel simply posting your daily life and seeing Sebastian’s new adventures is a purpose in itself? I love seeing that you have posted no matter what is about. You have many purposes. And so do his videos. I completely understand how posting everyday could be a pain though. But you lift my spirits and put a smile on my face in a time things are trying. He is wonderful! Also, I had an inhome daycare for years before getting cancer and have grandkids. Has Sebastian ever used a Johnny Jump-Up or been in what I would call a bouncer? Similar to a walker but has the spring(internal) so they can build muscles in their legs while using core muscles for upper body control. I didn’t know if he had used them or if they would even benefit him. Just ideas. Zeus is incredible!
