International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), established in 1986, aims to shine a light on infection prevention every year. Last year’s IIPW focused on highlighting the past 50 years of infection prevention and looking forward to a bright future. IIPW 2023’s theme is “Celebrating the Fundamentals of Infection Prevention” which highlights getting back to the basics of infection prevention for everybody. On this occasion, the Infection Prevention & Control Department has launched the Basic Infection Control Skills License (BICSL) program at Bahria Town International Hospital Lahore on October 16-21, 2023.
Objectives
1. To give practical training to all healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, technicians, and housekeeping staff.
2. To assess the competency of each participant on all basic infection prevention and control topics discussed.
