Was in a bad car accident in 05, Spent 3 weeks in critical. i remember seeing this bad hanging on the wall i think. But it said "Hazardous" and it had this long wire thing in it. When i asked the nurse i thought she had told me that is was for the tube that i had running down my throat in case something came apart?. (Punctured lung too) Anyways some how i ended up with it in my belongings when i got home and just recently thought about it. (Still have it) No matter what i searched i couldnt find a thing about it being for that tube thing. It wasnt until i decided to youube (how to install a Greensfield filter) that i came accorss this video. Thank you so much for making it. Now after all these years i actually know what it was really for. Maybe ill make picture hangers with it haha.

The heart doctor told me my mom needs to do this IVC filter and i'm worried about her health, Plus i might just go for it because i want to stop clots from both her legs to travel into her heart, I just wish it will not be painful for her and it will help her recover ASAP.

Does the IVC filter stop clots from "Both Legs" traveling to the Heart ???

Yes, the IVC is a midline structure that receives essentially all the blood from the legs, so clots from either leg would get stopped by the filter.

for nurses I had an IVC filter placed 2 weeks ago, and it was painless and quick. The IVC was inserted by placing a small incision on the right side of my neck and placed into my inferior vein.

it doesnt hurt at all u dont feel a thing when they put it in and take it out u are very frozen trust me haha and plus u are very very drugged so u just dont give a shit what happens trust me i got this done

I've had an IVC since 2011 because of a car accident. I didn't know it until it was found on an x-ray about 3 years ago. I don't guess it's too painful, I didn't know it was there.
