"I will carry this blade to my grave, so I will never forget where I came!" Maybe I only see it after his death, but I choose to interpret the "blade" as an artist's pen and Miura's unwavering dedication to his craft. When he graduated college, he left all of his friends behind to work on being a mangaka. "Ah, I will fight again. And always will guard their lives!" Is Miura returning to his drawing table for a countless time, so he could protect his fan's collective dream of seeing a completed Berserk in our lifetimes. "Until we're free let me shatter and bleed, and pierce at my heart, and tear me apart!" Is Miura taking on all the hate for his constant hiatuses or by people who don't understand the manga, calling it edgy trash. He'll take all their hatred and push on regardless. "Biting at fate, I will walk all the same! Down on my last breath! I'll rise up again!!!" Is Miura struggling to complete his manga, despite declining health. If I was in his position I would have given up years ago. "Crossing through the long night! Laughing til my soul rends! Until end I will burn and repent" Could be him coming to terms with the fact that he'll never finish his magnum opus as he passes away. I dunno. I wasn't there. I'm so sorry about all the horrible things I said about how you chose to live your life outside of making Berserk, Miura. I had no right. You were my artistic inspiration and I belittled you because you didn't make my precious manga your every waking second. And now you're gone. I'll never be able to take it back, and now I gotta carry that weight. Rest in peace. Your struggle is over.

While Miura’s struggle is over, his dream lives on and we all shall carry Miura’s blade to the very end I just wish Miura could see how his dream has now become a cultural phenomenon and so many more have become Berserk fans, but I know he’s looking down and smiling I look forward to seeing what he had planned for the very end of Berserk because from the chapters I’ve read so far, it is getting great
