Unfortunately Clifton does not proc off of any retire, it gains the power when rear guards are retired by the vangaurd’s ability only

I will say that shenryi does feel insanely good in this deck along with best harvest, just how they synergize. Even if your opponent is left on one rear at g3 you still get her effect, or just play best harvest and she is online anyways. Also she replaces herself with the draw so it doesnt feel as bad to call 2 rears in a column.
