Inferno Rennen 2015

Inferno race 2015 from Schilthorn to Mürren with 1850 skiers taking part in the race.

Thanks for the feedback. Always great fun that race. Unfortunately I missed 2016 (and Pippa Middleton ;) but planning to be back in 2017 Regarding the speed and alt: The video was recorded with a Contour+2 camera which also tracks the GPS positioning. The speed and map overlay was then rendered with racerender 3 software.

great video - How do you get speed and Alt on the video? what devices are you using and how do you get it synced to your video?

+finproductions I work with computers and enjoy sking. I thought the two additions were great (Speed and Height). So i tought with the right equipment it must be very easy. Such as he is already carrying a camer and sound microphone. With to days technology a pocket Ihpone can give altitude by GPS Global Positioning. I imagine from a simple progam (App) taking a GPS reference say every 5 seconds or less (but not too much, more) then the distance between the 2 points can very guickly be calcuated and converted in to speed. So as I said. I work with computers. So that is programmers logic behind it. But I imagine there is a common enough device all ready programmed using an app that they just press to start and it does it all in conjuction with the camera. The camera data has to be going somewhere so the GPS data just goes to the same processor.
