I love these little jagex dialogues. One of my favorite things to do in RPGs is just grab everything beforehand and just talk to the NPC handing it over as they ask for it. Very few games comment on it, but the ones that do hold a special place for me. Another that does this is fallout NV, where you can do quests before they ask you. Its great.

lmao, my first self taught money making method before GE was released was camping at al kahrid bank using all my gp buying iron ores and coal from miners then smelting them at the furnace nearby, bank then run over to East Varock bank (busiest trading center at the time) and sell em for triple the price I bought the ores for. I only had 50k in coins at most and was able to turn that into 500k within a week during spring break which was huge back then especially for a level 50 3 month old first account that hasn't even done dragon slayer (too pussy to attempt) and cant wear rune pl8 yet

Holy crap. I remember spending like two hours on the underground area solving the door puzzle as a kid. It was days and days of going to school to talk to my friends about what we did to get to certain steps in the quest. Which meant this quest took me like a week to finish because I would get stuck and go to school to talk to my friends about it. I was the one who solved the door puzzle first so that was nice. I even took the time to write down a little map and numbers of what levers to hit and in what order so my friends could copy it down to solve it. So many good memories from that time.

I find your lack of appreciation for good quest content disturbing. The Ernest the Chicken quest is honestly very well designed, especially for MMOs at the time. It wasn't a fetch quest, a kill quest, it wasn't just running around across a map talking to NPCs. You're just exploring a creepy mansion with lots of great puzzles and mysteries. I mean the basement lever puzzle is great. They could have just had a secret lever hidden somewhere you pull, but they put in the time to design a complex, logical puzzle. And you just call it a 'Shit show'.

@@Mike09legacy I'm guessing he has a gaming PC so likely has it set to 8x. If you have any recent gaming GPU you can likely use 8x without any issue. If you have a weak PC I suggest using 2x as even just using that is a massive improvement to the image quality over having it off. If you get bad performance then just it off. As for fog depth while I can't tell you what he has exactly I suggest you set yours somewhere between 10-15 as a base and tweak it to your liking from there.

Michael I’m guessing you’re playing on a 1080p monitor so you should be able to do 8x. For reference a gtx 970 is more or less twice as powerful as a PS4 and can run games like Witcher 3 at 1080p 60 frames per second. Now while in theory you should be able to run 8x without issue it is possibly it could be optimized poorly as it isn’t official GPU support. If that’s the case then go with 4x. Image quality isn’t that different than 8x and requires dramatically less GPU power than 8x. Fog depth shouldn’t effect performance so just set it to whatever is most aesthetically pleasing to you. I like having mine set between 10-15 to make the world transition into nothing more seamless Edit: if you’re using chrome/KZbin the GPU will decode the video. You should have zero problems watching videos while playing runescape at 4x and probably won’t with 8x either :) The CPU will likely be handling your other tabs so even if your GPU is being stressed i doubt those will be effected. In fact since the cpu is no longer handling runescape your other tasks should be more stable now since it no longer has to render runescape
