fr im still convinced it should be genji today. just reduce blade damage to like 0.5 and make his ult actually use his dragon and make his sword swings ranged or something

@@aheahe7943 if blade did half the damage it already does now he'd feel so ass unless he swung significantly faster lmao, unbuffed he still takes 3 swings to kill a squishy, or 2 swings and a dash, so imagine how bad it'd be if you had to swing 6 or 5+dash times.

@@asian_attack_helicopter102 im saying if his blade was permanent, yeah it won't feel like now because it would be completely broken if he's able to kill a widow in 2 hits, dash to ana and kill her in two hit, dash to zen and kill him in 2 hits then dash etc etc. it would have to be on par with or slightly higher than brig but not more than rein. rein can 2 hit squishy but that's because rein is slow and massive, genji can wall climb and dash with no cooldown on kill. if he had permanent blade it'd have to be like 60-70 damage per swing 3 hits for squishy, 3 hits + dash for tankier squishies and 4 hits for reaper, mei.

​@@aheahe7943 Yeah, I've played around with the concept in workshop, you need Blade to deal anywhere from 70-80 damage to be playable. Brig is good in melee because she has sustain to make sure she can stay there, genji isn't quite built to stick around for 4 swings and a dash, you need the kills to be faster for a dive hero.

@@ChiliTheDino yeah, I would say around 80, the main pain point would be for characters like ana, it would not be fair for a genji with a hard to miss blade and a dash to be immediately on top of ana and kill her in two swings, so I would even argue 85. 2 swings = 170 3rd swing = 255 vulnerable characters like ana have 250 hp, along with dps characters like sombra and soldier, i think 3 hits against them is fair and 2 hits + dash doing 210 because you always get that free swing right after a dash dealing 295 total. now this would mean 300 hp targets like Reaper and Bastion would take technically 4 swings, even if you add a dash but i think that's fair considering, you can dash and you basically can't miss your swings AND you can deflect, we all know bastions weakness is genji to begin with.
