On the one hand, I feel like if anyone doesn't need a menorah, it'd be a Jewish person because they'd already have one. On the other hand, Hanukkah is a relatively minor holiday, so you're not really all that guaranteed any given Jewish person will have one.

There's a synagogue in my neighborhood that actually has a giant menorah. It's two stories tall, and they light the lightbulbs on top every Hanukkah.

Down in Broward County Florida, there is at least one Hanukkah parade I've seen that features a giant menorah on a truck in addition to an enormous portrait of the local rebbe. So that's the kind of thing Caldwell is talking about.

Well if there's space for 8 candles on a menorah(I'm a Christian raised atheist so I can't really be sure off hand) then there's room for Nathan and then 7 roommates, 8 tenets total.

@@edwardnygma8533 yeah but what people often don’t realize is that menorahs actually have 9 candles. It has one candle in the middle, the “shamash” that’s used to light all the other candles. Maybe the shamash room could be like a common area or game room. Otherwise people would argue about who gets to live in the shamash lol

the menorah truck thing isnt everywhere, it's a specific sect of hassidish jews who put menorahs on the top of their cars and play music to "spread the joy of the season" or something (publicize the miracle? maybe?) so im guessing thats what he was referencing, i wouldnt be surprised if they had a bunch of them in ny or williamsburg
