The drive is a chocolate bar:/ putting it in the terminal breaks the terminal because it’s a chocolate bar that doesn’t spawn quite right until within inventory

It actually also is a drive, it does contain data on it. You need to put it in the processor rather than the one you play them on for it to properly work. After that it can be saved on a normal drive but putting it back in the other machine will cause it to be deleted (unless its level 3)

I am at the point of you trying to get the drive through the door, you can put an item near pne of the sliding doors, not all items work, most metal trash does for example, almost no paper trash, overall very useful to keep base open to walk faster

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but that drive with no prompt seems to store the last selected context box option, so every time you hovered over something that wasn't "> grab" you wouldn't be able to pick it up

It is absolutely possible it just is legitimately bugged The developer of VotV was forced to release 7.0 too early because someone tried blackmailing him. This is why it was comically buggy at release with stuff like being unable to move plugs. The update was actually unfinished.

The report fines are very buggy for me at least. like I've completed the report and drive and got a message about it only to get fined for failure so I've kept it disabled sense but I still act as if they are mandatory

I have my own infinite mode playthrough and I was surprised that (spoiler warning) (You have been warned) the orbs actually appear around day 30 I think? despite the obelisk not coming down from the sky, they just appear from out of no were and then disappear around day 40
