Infinite String Farm in Minecraft 1.20 & 1.21! (Duplication Glitch!) | Minecraft Tutorial

Alrigt guys im here to clear everything up for you guys, after struggling for 15 minutes to get it working on 1.20.1 on a PUBLIC server, it finally works. Everyone is saying you have to build it south, so the hoppers have to face south into the chests. so basically north. If u build it north and it doesnt work do it the exact opposite. It should work

I have built this contraption in all 4 directions and I think I have figured out why it sometimes doesn't work. It appears to depend above which trap door the switch is. If you find it not working, just flop the block and switch that activate the trap doors. Hopefully this helps.

Ok, to clarify for everyone, this glitch works in all versions above 1.18, but only Vanilla/Bukkit/Spigot/Paper, not Forge or Fabric (not sure about fabric), but regardless, make sure the chests are south from the hoppers, and the chests are facing west. This means that the whole farm has to face SOUTH, NOT NORTH. Also, make sure to break the string while facing east yourself. Also, you have to time switching the lever perfectly, so don't give up if it doesn't work first try. In my experience, the farm works in Forge, but can't be built in Forge.

I tried in Forge Minecraft but it didn't work i tried every possibility but doesn't work So when switched to vanilla version it worked perfectly So in forge version the problem was from the sheers it didn't work like it should So thank you for the comment i almost lost my mind 😂😂

This farm gets you 4 string per second 14440 string per hour You can sell string to a fisherman (20 / emerald). That gets you 720 emeralds per hour That's 11 stacks of ems per hour and 80 emerald blocks per hour. So... With this farm you can obtain full emerald beacon in 2 hours and 3 minutes!!!

If you are on PAPER, do this to fix it: If you aren't the owner; ask the owner If you are the owner: 1. Go into server files 2. Config folder 3. Paper-config.yml folder (or whatever other config.yml file there is) 4. Set allow-tripwire-disarming-exploits to true 5. Save (i dont know if this works for all paper servers, but this is how it is on aternos) please like so others see this

Guys its not about the directions its about the string, what i mean is when u shear it sometimes it breaks and sometimes it glitches and stays there and then reconnects to the tripwire. thats how it dupes it self so just keep shearing until it glitches and then flick the lever. you will have like 1 second to do it so do it quick.

for your info: the CHESTS have to be facing south from the rest of the machine. the mechanism faces north. its like an arrow that faces north.

I had the same problem just try switching which way it is pointing. try all four directions, it worked when I had it facing East

This is easily the most annoying farm to get started. It usually takes me 30-40 tries to get it going. Try moving the lever and block to the opposite trap door, or rebuild it facing a different direction. I just finished this in my newest world and it took more than 2 days of trying to make it work. If it dupes even once, your direction is good. Keep trying, it will eventually happen.

Water need to flow EAST, and you need to be very quick with cuting und activating it really needs to be fast. Tested with 1.20.1 Java. Works

Cutting the cord with the shears never worked for me, but flipping the lever up (to turn it off) did the trick. More sting than I will ever use! (Java, 1.20.4)

It's easier to do this if you set the frame rate to 10fps. This way, it will work in both mod and optifine environments. You can set the method from the video settings

guys, listen to what the people in the comments are saying. i'm on 1.20.1 java edition on a realm, and this farm DOES WORK. when standing in FRONT of the farm (looking at the string, trapdoors, lever etc.) you are supposed to be facing NORTH. if you're facing any other direction, it won't work. i struggled with this and had to rebuild the farm 3 times, but i guarantee you it works as long as you're facing the right direction

Yes, it works for me in 1.20.4. Remember to build it towards north (the water should flow towards south direction) and another thing I noticed is that it doesnt work when I use wood blocks to build the farm, So to be on a safer side build it with stone/cobblestone.

for everyone that is stil strugling on aternos, you need to put allow-tripwire-disarming-exploits on true in the config settings. Open config in your aternos files, open paper global and scroll down and you will see it there.

Ello, if this farm does not seem to be working for you on 1.21, it (may) works a bit different now, always build the farm in the north-ward direction, then when you get to placing the string on the tripwire hooks, make sure to left click a string with shears in your hand, and yes, it has to be shears, then press the lever, and let the water break the string.

Works fine. Need be facing north while looking at trapdoors. Also there is specific timing to have between the cut of the wire and flicking the lever.

The chest must be favoring south, and the back must be favoring north. The switch also needs to be on the right side. Hopefully this helps

This doesnt work if you are using forge for any mods!!!! If you are, heres the fix: Step 1, Close your minecraft completely Step 2, Open minecraft in the regular version, example: 1.19, MAKE SURE YOU ARENT LAUNCHING IN FORGE!!! Step 3, Open your minecraft world, place the string down, get the farm to work. Step 4, Re-open minecraft now in forge and the farm will continue to work!!!

if it does not work, - try making the farm facing South / North - try changing the block of the lever to dirt (works for me) - you have to destroy the string with shears and flick the lever fast enough

on 1.21 it often breaks after a few if that happens then switch the trapdoor that you put the block and lever on and it should fix it

Works like a charm, just make sure to build it so the hoppers face south into the chests!

HOLD SHIFT. 1st place switch, make sure switch is in off (trap doors are in down position) 2nd place both tripwire hooks. 3rd connect both tripwire hooks with string. 4th cut sting using shears. 5th LET GO OF SHIFT and turn switch on (trap doors are in up position) this farm is broken! XP and emeralds stack up big time! good luck

This is such a ground-breaking glitch, knowing that you can trade string with fishermen for emeralds (20 string = 1 emerald). It is basically cheating, but if you have around 7 fishermen you can trade with, you basically can grind up a lot of emeralds in early game, and then build a raid farm to get emeralds directly without trading.

Contraption needs to be facing either North or south but the chests need to be facing west otherwise it won't work. Lots of questions being asked in the comments about this, It would sure be handy if people actually figured out the problem and posted it. I know some of y'all have had solutions but not the whole solution.

Edit: this seams to not work on Minehut servers but thats as far as I know. Would be a good idea to find out if your played server allows this dupe.
