How impressive they are makes a lot of sense when you watch their pre-debut stuff. It just so happened that Avex, one of Japan's largest entertainment companies, is the official distributor of YG's Japanese releases and artists' Japan activities. A joint subsidiary, YGEX, was the result of this. However, YGEX only manages YG's existing artists, never form new groups. And of course later, YG also denied of their involvement with XG or XGALX. I don't know, I think YG stans started this whole rumor of XG being under YG. To mention this, girl crush/girl boss concepts has been around JPop female artists/groups way before KPop came to existence. Soloists like Namie Amuro and girl groups from the 90s like SPEED and MAX introduced the cool girl/girl crush concepts in JPop. That concept still exists in later artists/groups in different genres and different styles, and XG is just a fresher addition to that concept. Sidenote - Avex is also the official distributor of SM's artists/groups' Japanese releases. That can be an indicator of how huge Avex is. It's not the biggest ent. company in Japan, but certainly one of the biggest. XGALX is a new subsidiary of Avex. It was named after the project X-Galaxy, a joint project between Avex and former KPop idol Simon Jakops (half-Japanese/Korean, also holds Japanese citizenship). I felt the same way about their debut: so clean, so much attitude, so much presence. Bucket hat is Cocona, the Maknae (16). The vocals are Juria (white sweats in the practice) and Chisa (grey shorts) - and they can sing! Jurin is your superstar; Harvey is literally too much, and Maya is 2nd center (is that a thing? It is now) Hinata (the blonde) hasn't gotten much attention yet, but she stood out to me - and she can dance. Maybe it's because she tuts in her pre-debut dance video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmSWmquBh9uNbNk ). Maybe it's the leggings. Only 18 million views is a crime, but a lot of people saying it isn't Kpop (Japanese company, all Japanese members, both songs are in all English, ...) Some people think the beat in "Tippy Toes" is to minimal... (To which I say - "are you seeing and hearing what these ladies are serving on top of that 'minimal' beat?") And regardless of what genre it is, it's fire.

Bro i straight up I asked a reviewer if he heard the message of Tippy Toes and he said to me. I don't listen to lyrics it means nothing. I said to him the reason why you don't listen to the lyrics is because you are used to listening Kpop and you don't speak Korean. This is in english listen to it and you will see that these girls are not playing around. There are no weak dancers in this group, all of them have stage presence, their rap line could be the best in Asian pop music, the vocals by Juria and Chisa are no joke. The industry is in trouble, shots were fired in those 15 seconds were Maya said "Watch the way, we lead the way, we work the way we glow They ain't ready for us, we about to wreck the game, On the back of us, they follow like a Choo Choo train".. There is no group in Kpop with a rap lines like XG (Jurin, Harvey and Cocona). This is why the Koreans hate XG and are making a ton of excuses to hate on them. Plus Japanese celebrities in the past have not had good things to say about K-Pop plus their CEO just said some stupid things recently. So I understand why Koreans aren't too kind towards XG. I also understand they're upset they're allowed to promote on music shows even though the songs are not in Korean. Which is why they're complaining they sound too "American". They are not stupid reasons to be upset since I can understand how they feel. But I think the hate is too much and for them to attack their talent goes to show how some Koreans will hate on Japanese no matter what. Sadly that's the result of years of bad history.
