Ed explained that the song is about all of the bad habits he's had - overeating, drinking, partying too hard, etc. and the line "my bad habits lead to you' refers to that version of himself. I think the video shows that over-indulgent version of Ed as a vampire who parties and gets into trouble at night. But the end of the video shows us that he's worked through it and is 'clean' and healthy again. :-)

He talks about his battles with cocaine in his song eraser - the live version on SBTV. Hence the valpire outfit and the 'nothing happens after 2(am) its true". Love your ed reactions! Please check out his new SBTV tune "f64". Stands for "freestyle 64" which is a grime scene term. It's for his best mate Jamal Edwards, founder of SBTV & a person Ed credits for launching his career (you'll see a reference to "you need me i dont need you" as the song opens). YES! Finally someone who appreciates the video!!! I thought the video was amazing - so well made, fitted the song like a glove. and showed completely new but totally recognisable Ed. The video was directed by the awesome and crazy talented Dave Meyers. He did a buch of other cool videos, too, like Pink's new "All I know so far" and Harry Styles "Falling" & Grammy nominated "Adore You". The look you had on your face watching this was a whole mood! TY for your reaction!
