the headstone actually reads “here lies the heart of amy winehouse” but it was edited out of the video after her passing in 2011. She truly was one of a kind.

The lyrics in the song reference the death/end of a relationship. The video focuses on that death and expands on it. The end of the video was edited after she died, and the words on the tombstone were removed. It originally said essentially that Amy's heart was buried there. The casket she was burying "contained" Amy's heart.

A great rabbit hole to get lost in is EVERY single live version of Love Is A Losing Game! My favourite song of hers, always so different depending on her mood at that particular moment.

She was truly a once in a generation kind of talent.

She very much brought the 60’s back to the modern century. If she was alive today there’s probably be millions of 60’s fans today I bet

Amy came into my life a couple years after my grandma died very suddenly and unexpectedly. I was just shy of 16 and it sent me spiraling uncontrollably into a depression that frankly I’m still recovering from at nearly 33. Her music made me remember the music I grew up listening to as a child with my grandparents, aunts and uncles (jazz and blues from the 40s and on, and an untold amount of all kinds of music from the 50s and 60s). It reminded me of my favorite songs from childhood like “I Only Have Eyes For You” by The Flamingos, and “At Last” by Etta James and countless others. It made them so much more relevant to me as a young person who’d just lost a massive amount of their naïveté and hope. It’s as if she “rewound” my musical tastes back to the music I grew up to. I hardly listen to anything else- I’m still discovering material I haven’t yet heard from all those decades ago. I also heavily related to her through her lyrics, both immediately, over time and to this day. I was absolutely crushed when she died. I will probably always be. Unfortunately, I’ll never get to hear a truly new song from her, and I’ll never get to see her perform live. Fortunately, the music she made in her very short time here on this earth ages like a fine wine. 🖤

Amy was a talent of the century. I love her voice! I've seen the "i told you i was trouble" DVD so many times. She's been enjoying a few drinks along the way and it shows, but the way she plays her instrument - the voice - is so unique and insanely good. There are some other good videos too, including a very nice acoustic version {Amy Winehouse - You know I'm no good} on KZbin. You can see a little bit more of her talent than in the song clip. I would like you to enter the world of Amy and show us many reactions. There are far too few of these on KZbin.

If you knew what she’d been through, you’d know exactly what this song is referring to. Great reaction

I could be completely wrong but I think the “tiny penny rolling up the wall” line is a reference to the film “Ghost”

She was so talented and sadly, very troubled. I always thought it was sad that her song Rehab is what so many people remember, they didn't listen to the album for her real soul and cry for help. Amy was brilliant and her light went out too soon.

Back to black...drugs!
@aryansigrid2 жыл бұрын
Black means she returns back to sadness =Depression & any other bad habit that goes hand in hand with people trying to self-medicate their pain away if just for a while! Btw, Drugs is not the only addiction one can suffer from, there's Gambling, Sex/Porn, Money Addicts & a Workaholic is equally an addict. Basically, if your addiction effects other people in an adverse & negative way then it is a problem that one may want to address, especially if you want to have any 'healthy' relationship with your loved ones'. 🙂
