This one is aging so much better than some. The new Lexus are cartoonish inside and out. Drove one of these as a loaner a few weeks ago when my FX was getting serviced. It feels like a sports car, is extremely fast and corners like a dream. Nothing like a RDX or those other family haulers. Quite impressed.

i just wrecked my fx.wanted another but i bit to much so i got this qx50 is very fast and fun to drive and just as nice as the qx70

I had to options about the qx50. Get the 2017 model or wait half a year to get the 2018 model. I knew about the engine and transmission the vq has to offer and its durability. I opted for the vq version because the CVT couldn't hold up to the torque of that vct. That and the vq wasn't a GDI--a common problem that plagued modern engine's valves.

I was always told that the transmission is not any good in Nissan vehicles. They are not good vehicles under the hood, but only good looking on the outside. What do any of you think? I would prefer the Lexus SUV - RX350 over this Infinity. Of course we all know the Lexus is a better built vehicle overall than an infinity.

I just bought a 2016 qx50 in pearl white with black leather. It's absolutely beautiful inside and out, and the acceleration, oh the acceleration...exhilirating with a satisfying engine growl.

EinSofQuester hey, I'm currently looking at a 2016 qx50 model also, I was test driving it, does it have a laggy acceleration? It's hard to pick up at the start, but once I'm going by 35-40, it runs great.

It is so strange with Infinity and Acura that Nissan and Honda's high end models are the better buys.

I decided to upgrade my EX35 and purchased the QX50, fully loaded, and while I'm still getting acquainted with my vehicle I kinda miss my EX. As the guy in the video stated, the interior isn't as nice as some of the other luxury vehicle. As much as my vehicle cost I'm disappointed and I still don't understand why it didn't come with a cargo cover.

Finally found one in 2024 that is just 37K miles driven, though in Liquid Platinum (my previous infiniti's color) not this classic Brown.

I have 2016 same color all wheel drive found mine in 2021 20k miles for $20,000 steal deals

@wilbo1316 20K miles at 20K in 2021 was indeed a steal. In 2017, I bought a 2011 Infiniti M37 at 59K miles for just 13K, including taxes. Those were different precovid times, but in 2021, hard to beat what you got.

Great video! However, I feel like infinity just gave up on this car, it may look sporty at the outside but dated in the inside.

My only other concern of the QX50 besides the thirsty V6 is the lack of cargo space when the rear seats are up at only 18 cubic feet. That's similar to the subcompact crossovers.

Would rather have a fully loaded 2015-2016 Nissan Murano Platinum with its improved CVT than this old school Infiniti QX50. Steve would you be able to review the upcoming Infiniti Q60 and QX30?
