Thanks for the review, VaulSC! Looked forward to Military Orders for a while! I have a couple of objections from my personal experience with new MO: 1. Santiago Spitfire Lieutenant is absolutely awesome. For 43 points and 1 SWC you get a gunfighter, a specialist, a resilient Lieutenant (and you need to take one with care in MO), that's able to join any link team (and that increases his survivability a lot), apply D-Charges, spec fire e/m grenades on 13s or 10s, sneak through the repeaters (unlike Teuton) and shoot the markers with his nanopulser as well. Haven't seen any other model around that is this kind of versatile, and that's the main reason I don't ever take Father Knight Spitfire Lt 2. Tikbalang is overcosted for sure, but still very good with his mimetism and climbing plus, carrying AP HMG with BS 15 is really strong for removing all sorts of targets, men and TAGs alike. You should not usually leave him exposed, though, since he tends to go down easily. 3. Seraph with Spitfire and Auxbot got buffed since Auxbot has Super-Jump now. That allows for all kinds of tricks with burning link teams from unexpected angles for free or just good old "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" choice when facing both bot and Seraph at the same time 4. Teuton Lt costs extra 1 SWC, for being just a combi rifle guy, in sectorial that desperately needs every SWC you can get. Therefore, no Teuton Lt, ever. Either an affordable 35 points / 0 SWC Hospitaller Multi rifle Lt or swiss army knife Santiago Spitfire Lt. Best regards, and keep up doing great reviews!

One thing to mention: none of the Specialist Sergeants are allowed to join link teams, so MO is one of the only factions that cannot bring a basic line trooper hacker in their links.

Thanks so much for these break downs. Love hearing from your take about who is good or who is over priced and why. Why a unit needs to be reworked and why a unit is an auto include. Love listening to these on road trips

thanks for the information, i have the 300 box and a couple dozen extras that have been on the back burner waiting for me to churn through the current build/paint list. i tend to get quite a bit out of these breakdowns but only one thing really distracts from it. when you present a profile please dont compare to out of faction profiles. do list why its not as good and x is what you'd rather have x in a list in its place, no point comparing it to other things you just cannot have in your army.

Excellent report as always, very helpful. I just add that Dart is excellent as a primary attack piece, paired with bulleteer and OS sniper could be an excellent way to open the field for the linkteam. IMO the absence of his function as a specialist is not a big deal, because the damage that can cause is awesome. it would be amazing if you could do an analysis of Varuna, after a while of seeing it on table, your opinion would be very valuable, especially since in one of your videos I saw that you were planning to make a list with the Cutter, it would be great to see that.

I don't think Joan is worth it in modern MO, she brings only slightly improved stats over a normal Hospitaller LT. If you pass on her you can take a much cheaper link team not only saving the points on Joan but also having to take one less knight for a 5 man bonus.

Most the time when I bust out Joan I'm just running her cause I want to, she does in practice end up being an overcoasted Hospitaller

I’ve played against MO loads and they can totally punch you in the face very hard. That said, I feel there’s a lot of mediocre profiles in MO, the lists tend to look very samey.

Thank you for your video. I wanted to play rule of cool and started with MO. I have the 300 point starter box and the Santiago box. In regards to the Joan, Hospitaller and Santiago list you spoke of, what would you add to bring it up to 300 points?

One thing that keeps me from using the Joan Hospitaller link is that stupid nerf. That you can’t reform it if you don’t have 4 hospitalars. You didn’t mention this. Do you think this is a reason not to bring that link?
