im glad you enjoyed it! i also thought that it was a really good first episode for the second season. the art style change is indeed sad, but i got used to it eventually just a small warning: in the near future you are going to experience some mediocre animation quality, i hope it doesnt throw you off too much. it gets better eventually

if you were wondering whether the ring allowed him to access that weapon inventory: no, the ring is just a ring every person in the tower can have that thing and make it (in-)visible, just like the pockets they use. it was shown in s1 as well, but only briefly iirc

also yes, all abilities these people use are shinsu abilities - pretty much everything in the tower is shinsu based, except for a few things like pure physical strength/martial arts etc (although the latter can also be combined with shinsu of course) one ability you can ignore is that red skeleton susanoo looking thing: while its appearance in that scene was canon, its existence "isnt" - the author decided to write it out of the story after this scene. my head canon is that it was a one-time-use item

Hey, i do enjoy your tower of god reactions. Its refreshing to see someone share the same wonder that i had when i first watched the anime Just a fair warning, the community, has not been very receptive about the second season. The production quality wasnt as good as season 1 Don't let the community influence your enjoyment of the show. Make your own opinions, if you like the season 2 or hate it, make sure to keep it real
