Thanks for making a short and to the point video that clearly shows how the pump works. Much appreciated!

Thanks again for making the effort to show people what to expect, it certainly will help me. I think I’m gonna take the dive, even though I hate to spend even more money… And now in 2021 they have a rechargeable battery so if you’re hiking into a lake you can use the pump

@Yowzoe - it's worth it! I certainly could pump the board by myself every time, but it's nice to save my energy for the paddle. I've seen the battery pump - looks great! Happy paddling!

When we pump it up the numbers at the right which show the current psi go up to 2.6 and then stop even though it’s full and about to burst- feels like it. It doesn’t read properly but it’s filled🤷🏽‍♂️. Brand new out of the box

@A Healthy Pour, ensure all of your connections are tight and keep pumping to ~15. One time, the pressure wasn't going up and I discovered that we hadn't tightened the connection between the hose and the pump. The air was leaking there and the board was hovering at ~3psi. Turn the car on to get enough power to the pump. You'll find that 2.6psi won't be enough when you're out on the water. It'll feel full, but you'll have stability issues and the board will bend.

Hey SeaChelle, great video. I just got the model X and pump delivered. Gonna go to a lake this weekend, very excited. First time paddling my own board. One question, do you think it's ok to put the unpumped board on the concrete in the parking lot? Will the concrete surface damage the board surface as it inflates? I was thinking of bringing an old bed sheet to put under the board, or am I being too careful? Thanks man.

Hi Patrick, congrats on the new board!! You’ll love it. These boards are tough. I inflate and deflate on concrete and gravel pretty often. I’ve seen others set out a tarp to protect their boards, which I understand. Up to you! I’ve easily used my model X 50 times, and there aren’t scratches from concrete. Usually you can park near the edge of the parking lot and inflate in a grassy area.

Great video! I think it's the first one on the internet of the new pump. What do you think of it overall? Also, does it say how many amps it pulls in stage 1 and stage 2? Thanks in advance. Mike

Thanks, Michael! We love the pump!! It easily handles all 3 of our boards in ~20 min total, with a few minutes' break between boards. It's not annoyingly load, and it's compact. Unfortunately, I'm not sure on the amp draw.

Hi Seachelle.i got a question for you.wich connection Do you prefer,direct to the car battery or In the 12 volt port.im asking because when i connect in the ine port the plug of the pump is comming real hot and eventualy the pump stop before reaching 15 psi.maybe if the connection is directly to the car battery it woudnt heat Much?Nice video.

Hi Claude! I'm sorry to hear that! I use both about equally. Usually, I choose which I use based on where I'm able to park and place the boards relative to the car. In our experience, we can pump 2 boards from the battery or the 12v outlet without the pump overheating. It will get warm, but not bad. We give it a break if we're doing more than 2 boards.

cool ! oh i was looking for elec pump ,and hesitating to get it cuz of loud nose..is it worth it? and could you tell me any difference between NAUTICAL AND BLACKFIN ? or even irocker you have all...
@mklomp2007
@mklomp2007 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! The pump we have isn't too bad for noise. It gets a little louder once the compressor kicks on, but still not bad. We have the iRocker electric pump. Definitely worth the noise. We have 2 Blackfins & 1 Nautical. Both are fantastic. The newer Blackfins have different features than ours. For me, I like the bungees on the back of the Blackfin, which the Nautical does not have. And I think they've added a lot more D-rings to the new Blackfins. Either board will be nice and stable with great reliability.

Hi! I just bought this pump for my Nautical board and am having major problems connecting the air hose to the valve. It absolutely will not stay on and let’s air escape. Did you have any problems getting it to connect to that board?
@mklomp2007
@mklomp2007 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Meagsnan, nope, we haven't had major problems connecting. Have you confirmed that the valve is in the "up" position? Some people have issues there. When I first got my board, I struggled to get the hose to stay put when I tried to use the manual pump for the first time (see my first video for a sample of that problem - maybe it looks like what you're seeing). The main thing is to give it a good little push and twist... almost like opening a child-proof medicine bottle, just in reverse. The electric pump has a stiffer bushing than the manual pump, so you've gotta put a little oomph into it to get it secure.

@@mklomp2007 Check the gasket. It came with a thick one and a thinner one. The thinner one will solve the problem.

yeah I'm having the same problem also, air keeps leaking for some reason. I don't see another gasket available either

@mklomp2007
@mklomp2007 3 жыл бұрын
@Tony D. Le and @Zoe Ho, before you connect the pump hose, be sure your valve is in the "up" position (you can easily push it down and it pops back up) instead of the "down" position (you can't push it further down). When connecting, if you don't have a different gasket to try, be sure you give it a good push when you twist the hose to connect it. Those two things should solve most of the leak issues. If it's leaking after you disconnect and your valve is in the correct position, you may need to tighten the entire valve using the little valve tool they provide - the one they say that you should rarely need/use.
