I don't pay full retail anymore. I can't. The price hikes you're talking about has not hit my Ollie's yet. I'm sure they will after the first of the year. I still collect. It's a fun hobby and it has made me some good friends. I just collect less. I've gone from getting 12 to 15 figures a year to getting about 3 to 4. I'm getting less. Companies like Hasbro are getting less of my money. We will see how it goes in the future.

I quit collecting a lot of things years ago. Namely Transformers and Japanese figures like Figma and SH Figuarts. They were just costing way too much money. I jumped on MOTU Origins and Jakks Pacific Sonic because they were inexpensive and pretty affordable but even the MOTU figures are costing more these days.

You need to stop buying stuff just because it "looks cool" and you found a "deal". For example, you recently blew $17 + tax on Cloud Cover. You didn't even know who Cloud Cover was. That's the kind of thing you *DO NOT BUY.* You can't buy everything that "looks cool". There is more stuff out there that "looks cool" than the amount of money you have to spend. This is where self-control is crucial. You can't buy a figure like Cloud Cover then make a video saying that you don't even know what it is and then make another video complaining about "inflation killing your pockets". They cancel each other out. I mean, can you blame "inflation" when you are blowing money on stuff that you don't even know what it is??? That's $20 gone for something that you didn't really want or need. You just bought it because it "looked cool". See? That's not "collecting", that's "HOARDING". Collecting is when you love a franchise or movie, you love the characters & want toys of the characters that you KNOW and love. Hoarding is when you just buy random shit & let it pile up for no actual reason. Hope this helps. And knowing is half the battle! 👍😁

You should take a break and start playing through some of the games you have collected I mean isnt that what you collected them for, to play them? That way you can save up some money and actually enjoy some of the things you have just bought that you haven't actually taken the time to enjoy yet.

Gotta get those deals, Uncle Tim! Currently working on my Spider Man setup. I got Sandman for $15 on BBTS. Kingpin was the only one I paid full price ($40). And I got both the "Mafex" Spider Man and CT Toys Black Suit Spidey from AliExpress for like $18 each. Really good bootlegs.

I mainly collect LEGO and the prices are so bad that I can’t justify buying any sets. I’m super selective on what LEGO sets I’m buying because not only inflation is bad but LEGOs greed has hit an all time high.

Uncle Tim, I'm sure you've heard about Jaleel White and him talking about Family Matters not being a quote HOOD show as it was part of the TGIF brand so it according to him wouldnt be on the same list as shows like Martin, Living Single and Roc. Also he talked about a Family Matters reboot he wants with him being married to Myra and Laura the love of his life being a baby mama LOL! This has caused a lot of buzz and negative feedback from fans. Also for years he has denied that he and costar Kelli Shangyne Williams were crushing on each other and that they were like brother and sister and has no romantic feelings for each other. But in his book he reveals that in season 5 they had something but it got ugly to the point were the two stopped talking to each other behind the scenes and this changed the dynamic between the two for the remainder of the series. Some fans wonder did he only say this to get more people to buy his book? What is your opinion about this? 🤓🤔📕📺

Meeting and exceeding quotas, the main problem with capitalism. It requires constant growth year over year, that’s why we are being crushed financially. Everybody wants more and there’s too many damn people wanting more.

As I sell less, have less money and all seems a bit "worthless" plus I ran out of space and things that I really like, I kinda stopped buying stuff as everyone else so it seems. I am more into technology and audio/hifi myself, so all the issues if repairing it, shipping damage etc. also come to play and it is also a bit bigger than action figures. So I decided I want a few more things to "complete" (not really complete but complete for myself on the items that I want) and I will repair everything and sell everything off that I have twice or don't like any longer and then be done with it. The buyers are also unfriendly and always try to lower the prices, no real sale is fun any longer and the item sit around for months and months, so that is why I will tone that down and slowly get out of that, it is not working any longer and it is not good the way it is now. Also materials (plastic, CD lasers etc.) break over time, and interest is shifting, so I guess in a few years the general interest and thus, the price, is also down the drain. So I prepare myself for the last fav things that I really want to own and step by step go through the stuff and be happy with what I got.

Negative impacts of capitalism: *Income inequality:* Capitalism can lead to a large gap between the rich and the poor, where the wealthy accumulate most of the wealth while many struggle to meet basic needs. *Worker exploitation:* In pursuit of profit, businesses may push workers to work long hours for low wages, with limited benefits and poor working conditions. *Environmental degradation:* The profit motive can incentivize businesses to prioritize short-term gains over environmental sustainability, leading to pollution and resource depletion. *Economic instability:* Capitalism can experience boom-and-bust cycles, leading to periods of high unemployment and economic uncertainty. *Monopoly power:* Unregulated markets can allow large corporations to dominate industries, reducing competition and leading to higher prices for consumers. *Social alienation:* The focus on individual competition and profit maximization in capitalism can lead to a sense of isolation and disconnect within society. *Corporate corruption:* In pursuit of profits, companies may engage in unethical practices like bribery and lobbying to gain advantages. *Neglect of basic needs:* Capitalism can prioritize luxury goods over essential services like healthcare and education, especially for marginalized populations.

Yes, there are downsides to capitalism when immoral people exploit it. However, there is no other economic system that is better than capitalism.

You admit inflation is a problem for everyone, but you seem to forget these companies are not immune to that. Higher material costs, higher manufacturing costs, higher shipping costs, etc., mean the product is going to cost more. It's not some evil conspiracy. It's just inflation at work. None of us like it, but it's reality. Set a budget, stick to it, and it will get you what it gets you. Some months, based on sales, you may get more than others.

The problem is, you people see 2 parties, 2 governments. You cannot see the truth/reality that it is *ONE* Government & both parties are not on the side of "WE THE PEOPLE". Both the Republicans & Democrats are greedy, rotten, self-serving & neither are our "friend". This nation will continue to suffer until every American citizen learns this & stops supporting the Democrats & Republicans. It is your fault my friend, not theirs. They are all rabid dogs and you keep trying to pet them. There is no law saying that you absolutely must choose Republican or Democrat. The Declaration Of Independence says that it is our right to abolish a corrupt government and start a new one. The founders of the USA knew this day would come. You can't avoid human greed, corruption and sin.
