My area was "Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" in Mechanical Engineering...This combines applications of Mechanics and Mathematics for various practicle problems. I really like Mechanics and Maths and thats why I chose this area....Also I was offered a prestigious fellowship by Cornell for PhD. So that was additional incentive.

Sir after B.Tech from prestigious IIT why didn't you go in any private sector or Research labs in India, I'm sure that they pay very good to IIT graduates I'm a Civil Engineer graduated in 2019, I'm preparing for UPSC and other state services your lectures have helped me to understand the topics in depth Thanks for uploading

@@darren781 I did work in Los Alamos National Lab in US for a year but realized that I like teaching more than pure research.....You tube gives me flexibility so I do it in free time...
