I agree that class 8 to 10 civics are very thought provoking if taught by a effort giving teacher, our teacher was a person from rural background, he was maybe from oppressed class, but he was surely Anti-System and he also had a eye in active politics. He told us about his village elections and told us about the corruption and true ingrained and well intrenched "Caste system". As I left social science as subject to study commerce, I felt very sad because of my deep interest in the subject. I hope that teacher is doing good, thank to all these channels that developed my interest in social science.

The whole point of placing some person on left, centre and right is very absurd. One can have different opinion regarding two different matters. Like one may be conservative on religious matters while can be liberal in considering social equality. These things varies accross person to person. Some may even excercise some relaxation regarding religious freedom. Some may favour inequality in organizational hierarchy, as a necessity to run an organization but other may disregard. If at all it becomes necessary to place persons in the left-centre-right spectrum, one must mention the parameters on which this classification is being done.

Two types of people - intuition dependent and logic dependent. We are logic dependent. But I have no hate for Intuition dependent people, because they have high conscientiousness and make good workforce. While logic based mind are more rebellious and presents novel ideas and more inventions. Both are parts of a society to work efficiently.

A lot of atheists who spread awareness often lose their temper but what Pranav is doing by being polite helps in avoiding the defending line from theists that all atheists have no morality, are always angry and fighting etc. Also not getting down to their level has earned Pranav a bigger respect from me. 😊

They were playing socialism apologists here. “Socialism causes corruption but have you looked at scandanavian countries and India” this is apologising for socialism. When asked about India pre 1991 he said that, “but India is still not totally capitalist” If this is not appeasing socialism then I dont know what is. Nobody explicitly says socialism or communism doesn’t have any bad aspects because there are many examples of that. But you have to take hints. I cannot give you any more hints. Now it’s up to you what to take out it.

This is my first time watching Science is Dope. With my limited exposure to him, I didn’t find him to be as articulated as I had hoped for a person dealing with science would be. Also, while it may be entirely genuine, I found his exiting the podcast in the middle of the debate to be disappointing. He could have either said why free market is good or listened to their points. Instead he chose to leave in the middle of the discussion.
