Excellent! A question: How long do the antibodies from a flu vaccine last, i.e. will the antibodies vs one specific strain (or actually: 3 strains, since it's trivalent) will protect me also if this strain happens to *not* be around in the season I got the vaccine, but e.g. one year later?

Level of antibodies will remain detectable at least a year depending on drugs and patients. If there is no significant mutation, antibodies could work. Some people usually get their flu vaccine annually but it all depends on you.
