+1 Dear Stanford and anyone else participating in an online call or broadcast, DO NOT sit in a room which is an echo chamber, if it's all hard surfaces, spacious, poor sound-insulation from the outside world, then move somewhere else. It's especially bad with people who have higher pitched voices or tend to talk loudly. If you are engaging in professional output i.e. communicating in a professional capacity then please seek feedback on your recordings from an audio or broadcast professional so they can give you guidance on making a recording that does not grate on listeners' ears and thereby inhibit the worth information you are trying to share. Standford you no doubt have multiple persons in broadcsat communications who could advise. It really should be in the general advisories at an institution level to all teams producing output for an external audience, to ensure excellent communication is not undercut by avoidable technical issues.
