i usually enjoy infosec podcast but this was not a good interview in my opinion. it seemed more about the guest company isn't of how to become a malware analyst. as a malware analyst this was very disappointing.

@Chris Sienko there are a lot of free resources that individuals can use to gain an understanding and experience in manual malware analysis. No mention of static and dynamic analysis, common tools used, or reverse engineering. Practical malware analysis book is a common resource that most use to gain a better understanding and practice using the labs. No, mention of skills that make for good malware analyst, like problem solving, puzzles or investigative. Could have also mention setting up your own home lab. Pay scale in private sector vs government.
