I can relate to all of this! Especially the flexibility and energy levels...I'm almost ready to give up my 9-5 side hustle to step completely into my authentic identity 🙂💫

How would manage such paradox: If you deeply feel that you are an acrobat, you've got an "acrobat soul", but your body absolutely does not follow this. You just physically can't be an acrobat. It's a terrible inside conflict.

Perfect explaned. I have experienced that good qoualty first job, and the bad quantity first too, and the boring but demanding with nice colleges and nice environment too, that turned out as perfect "burnout-setup-job" All 100% true. Need to say i'm INFP ;-)

I think these tips are very important-at least these are things that I have found to be important for me as an INFP. I chuckled a bit when Tara mentioned creating manuals for the company because I would do the exact some thing at different companies where I worked (also in an administrative position). 😁Sometimes, you have to find a way to be creative at your job. EDIT: BTW, how tall are you?! I thought you were sitting in a much higher chair at first. Started laughing when you changed seats in the beginning.😂

I sped this up a couple notches, and it was so much easier to listen to. We INFPs really have a lot of muck to get through, to have a comfortable place in this world. Yet always optimistic.. 😊

The difference with ENFP they are externally motivated and do not internalize as much. Makes sense what she said about guilty over a missed hour/ time.

Thank you for this video. I've been able to pinpoint several things that were not aligned with me in my previous jobs or studies. I really felt it when Tara talked about what I call "being there for no reason": having to be at work because it's 9-5 but having nothing to do. This drives me crazy.

Thanks for the advice! I'm still a freshman in college and I've been trying to figure out if I should follow a more practical career path or go with graphic design. It's comforting to hear that other INFPs have similar struggles.

Each coach I had the great chance to exchange with : " But you ask butter and the money of butter ! What you ask is impossible. " And here, in this video, you say that these conditions are just the minimum for an INFP. Thank you so much. Maybe I should ask some buddhists. Would they think that I should give up my needs of great things ?

Ahh, it feels so good to know that there are other aliens like u out there; I feel so lost in terms of finding the right job(not career, I want to be a full-time artist, but for now till I'm working on it, I need to earn my living via a 'real' job). I have a question: after pushing urself to adapt on a new job which you considered to be 'a dream job', but it turned out to be a torture, how do you know it's time to give up, admit you'll never fit and look for smth else. How do u know if that's the case or you should keep on looking for ways to improve and implement small changes here and there. Cause I've been fighting with my desire to simply quit, I keep on giving my best but no matter how hard I try, it gives close to zero results and the company is not happy with my performance either...
@matthewb24152 жыл бұрын
Hey NoomRa. I felt obliged to comment. So in my experience, you need to start with your own self awareness. Examine how you approach tasks, e.g. what cognitive function do you use the most? If you are INFP, your dominant function is likely Introverted Feeling. This is a problem because in a workplace, you have to turn on those Extraverted functions to communicate better - so for INFP, the magic function is Extraverted Intuition. Basically brings lots of ideas to the table and lean into that. The next problem is your workplace may not acknowledge or want you to bring ideas so you have to again be self aware enough to see what they are after. I also find other types will project their issues onto INFPs because we are not great ‘Thinking’ types. You have to use minimum Extraverted thinking function to ward against that. Hope that makes sense. Cheers Matt
@matthewb24152 жыл бұрын
Also what minimum Extraverted Thinking looks like for me, is follow up in an email directly after with details of what was discussed and what the actions were. I hate doing this but other personality types really need to see this clarity

I love this video, I agree with your points, I have very similar experience with draining work that is overly sensory, buuut I must ask - what do you think about developing Si? I love your idea about varying routines (you talked about it in other videos), but jobs rarely have that so I think you should really have family/friends who can help you when it's tough, or/AND save money to have freedom of choice in career! Best wishes from fellow ENFP Belgradian

Yes but also no. Some people don't care about doing quantity over quality or that the work place is harmonious or need that kind of structure for instance.
