@@VengefulPolititron I get what you mean I often refer to my true self, as little girl/inner child, I've been trying to get back to her because I realised I was killing myself letting the world (pressures, expectations etc.) get to me. I don't know if it's weird but it's like everytime I let go and think from her perspective its like I'm becoming me again. I wonder if a lot of INFP's have this concept...either way you can return to your inner child! We just have to make sure it's protected, but not silenced.

Gotta say, I love being an infp at times. Other times its....very hard. Especially when you're a 23 y/o man who needs to "toughen up" and "grow thicker skin". To "get out of your own head and focus on life"

Iv'e heard of many incidents where INFP men would be forced to "toughen up" like you said. I think being an INFP man can be one of the hardest combinations for this world. I also imagine it being a blessing because you guys have some really special qualities and combinations (although everyone is very different). Stay true to you !

I feel like Belle (in beauty and the beast) represents us quite well. She's not just a bookworm, she's more than that. She's selfless and helps others but also sometimes loses herself in the process. She's not clingy and she needs her space but she also likes to make sure the other around her are also in a safe space. She went to the castle to save her father, she's brave but she also loves the ones around her. In short, she's living my dream life with all them books 👊😔

I'm an INFP and i'm not very interested in the MBTI personalities, but this video felt so real to me. Being lost in your inner thoughts can be very fun and living the best life in your mind, but it can also be very depressing, like it's fine when you're younger and a kid/teenager but once you step into adulthood and people start expecting you to get your life together is very very hard. especially if you don't have enough support from family and friends. One of the things that i'm also starting to struggle with is feeling so *out of touch* -cause of quarantine i guess- , i'm so trapped in my own world, that i feel like i'm inside of a bubble, then again, it's fun sometimes, but it's getting loner here. i feel like i need someone to pull me out of this, before i truly feel completely lost. In this video when the guy said " i lose people and then i lose myself " , it makes me think of a day when i lose my parents or loved ones to death, i never experienced such a thing, and it terrifies me, cause it's such a real experience that i know i'm not ready for, i'm scared when that day comes i'll truly lose myself cause i have no one who will be there for me to pull me out of it. i've always been alone despite having people around me that love me, for some reason, these feelings haven't and aren't reaching me and it makes me feel alone and extremely sad. it feels like i only have myself in this world. Or i might be on my feelings right now, who knows :) cause i sure don't.

Some people call me a bookworm, it’s really a word that describes me. I love poems and romance the most. Poems, Arts can show how the person feels it’s like a flower blooms in the sunshine , it shows the feeling, the feeling of sensitivity. I love Anna's character. She reminded me so much of myself in everything she did. But sometimes that makes me sad. The movie was beautiful but sad in opinion, and I feel like I lower people's spirits now, by being unfriendly or stuck in my own head. I don't really want to be this way, but Anna is a comfort.

I found myself relating to her as well. I think society expects everyone to be open and very friendly but it’s perfectly normal to be the opposite naturally. Life is a journey of self improvement and discovery so take it easy on yourself :-).

Absolutely same. That movie is amazing, and it portrays the daily struggles of a sensitive heavy-hearted introvert beautifully. I loved seeing Anna come out of her shell of self-doubting and melancholy, it was very inspirational. One of my favourite films and stories for sure.

I wish I knew about this test before. I mean, I've always wondered why I was the one who didn't enjoy going out to parties, the boring one who spent time observing than talking, the baby who cry for almost everything (they used to call me susceptible). I've been questioning my existence my whole life. Being an INFP is enormously beautiful but there are times where I wish I could be that perfect image in my head who isn't afraid to stand up for herself, is flawlessly ideal, and is just a perfect replica of mine. Yet I'm still a frightened puppy, who is afraid of confrontations, afraid of hurting the feelings of those who have wronged me. People never appreciate the thoughtfulness I have for them, I feel lost. This is so good. All of the characters are so...me. if u know what I mean. It's like I have been in their shoes, even tho I haven't. As an infp, yes it is very hard to express myself outside of my secret journal that I go to whenever I feel overwhelmed. I thought I was depressed to not like anything that my friends did, like socializing, partying and having fun going out. but after I took the test I realised there are people out there just like me who likes to keep it to themselves and live in their head occasionally. It really made me happy knowing that it's ok to not like the things normally an individual would. And going through comments, I am crying right now.

I really thought that im an INFP but now i can really tell that im an INFJ cause if something went wrong around me i just shrug it off, i shut my self down and i dont really care at all. I relate to your comment. Thank you for sharing your thoughts~ I don’t think being sensitive always means being emotional. I think it could also be picking up on things others wouldn’t have noticed. Or simply feeling deeply whether you show that or not. Just be yourself. Not everyone is comfortable with opening up emotionally and that’s ok :-).

What I think is funny about Anna in "When Marnie was there" is how much I identify with her and how much similarities we share. First of all, we share the same name, second, I have brown hair and blue eyes. And then we have the rest of the list. I have asthma, I`m an Infp and also an introvert. I love to draw and always has my sketchbook with me, I didn`t have so many friends in school while growing up, my grandma passed away when i was younger but i have always been told I look like her. Then we have that when my family is going on holidays we travel to my grandmothers childhood home, a big house by the sea in a little town/village. I have also discovered her old diary and I was 12/13 years old when " When Marnie was there" was realesed. So when I first saw this movie i couldn´t stop bawling and It has been one of my favorite comfort movies ever since. Love it so much Hiromasa Yonebayashi did a fantastic job. . And i didn´t mean to talk about myself and by that bother others it`s just that i really like Anna as a comfort character even though i know she had her ups and downs like we all do sometimes I realate to her how she is interacting with others and how she handle social situations/confrontations. :)

hi! this edit popped up in my recommendations and as an infp, i felt so comforted by it; it nearly made me cry because for some unexplainable reason, it made me feel understood. I watched "When there was Marnie" for the first time yesterday because it stuck with me since i saw this video. I found myself relating to Anna almost every moment and I cried like a baby towards the end. its hard being me with everybody telling me to grow a thicker skin and to get tough, because of that I'm too scared to express my emotions so people get mixed signals from me, one minute I'll be blunt but the next I'll be crying because of that no one ever understands me and its depressing. as if you are locked inside yourself desperately clawing at the walls and screaming so loud your throat becomes hoarse but every time someone hears your screams they just block their ears because they can't make sense of what you are saying.....

I was an INFP when I first took the test maybe 2-3 years ago. I was very vulnerable and sensitive. I felt very anxious and scared of life, I parted ways with my two bestfriends after high school the other one moved to another city and the other to a diffrent continent. I was naive, but now and past tests i took I have turned into an INFJ. You can say I've changed, maybe grown? I was called ‘Madonna’. I guess being a Diva and think of my world as ‘the most important’, a snowflake maybe. Well, whatever. I don’t know. It’s funny how they might think I’m better than most people. I do, sometimes, but there are times I envy others and thought I’m lacking. They can just continue being ‘not so important’ or mocking others just for mere fun.
