If you're wondering about the markings for the suit of the card and it seems counterintuitive to you, it's not because 10% of the population can see UV. So those markings instead of being the actual symbol to make it easier cant be used.

I think most of the price comes from the ink that can't just rub off like any ink, the reseal job and all the man hours to put the number, that dosent look like it has gone through a printer and if it has that just adds to the price, plus the glasses with especial lenses or the contact lenses, but hey, if you take care of deck is should last you, those are my thoughts
