Brian's mother is Scottish. His father is a mix of French & Italian. His parents moved to New York when they were young and became American citizens. His older brother Stuart was born in New York. The family moved around a lot. Brian was born in Belgium, grew up in Luxembourg (where he learned French), and lived in many places with his family. He spent some time living in New York before going to London when he was 17 to attend university.
